How soon before you buy the candy for Halloween? Here’s some trick or treat tidbits from the National Confectioners Association. Those that purchase the sugary treats usually buy their favorite confections, which lead to 7 out of 10 parents eating up the supply before the actual trick or treat event. What happens after the big night? More than 75% of parents (8 out of 10) find themselves in their children’s candy bags.
So. . . here’s a plan (or a couple for backup). Don’t buy the candy until you absolutely have to and do not buy your favorite treats, otherwise those powerful little confections will be lingering in your home and calling your name. Too late? Keep it out of sight, or ask someone who has a little more fortitude, to hide it so you can’t get into it.
