1 pineapple, remove top and skin (slice into chunks)*
5-7 carrots, peeled
2 inches fresh peeled ginger root
2 lemons, peel and remove seeds
1/2-3/4 C water
10-12 ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients in a high-powered blender.
*NOTE: You can choose to blend the core of the pineapple into your smoothie. The core contains the highest concentration of bromelain, an enzyme that assists in digestion.
